Portfolio > National Museum of Stockholm

In the year 2008 the National Museum of Stockholm held an exhibition devoted to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's work. The museum invited, first year MFA students at Konstfack University College in Stockholm, to create an exhibition which would be inspired by Lautrec's works and run parallel in another room of the museum. The exhibition was named 'To Use Lautrec'.
I created a sculpture from black velvet and marzipan, both materials shaped as braids. My thoughts were on prostitution which was very visible in Lautrec's works.
